Susan Edkins, EdD - RMT, CAG
Dr. Susan Edkins is the founder of Dragonfly Integrated Health, LLC. She started this company as part of her healing journey after losing her husband of 26 years suddenly in July 2021. Shortly after her husband died, she noticed that she was seeing dragonflies everywhere. According to legends, dragonflies have two sets of wings to carry angels on their backs and when you see a dragonfly it means that angels are near. Without realizing this legend about dragonflies, Susan also started being drawn to angels and bought her first oracle card deck, Angel Guide Oracle, for her first birthday after Brian died.
Susan has spent over 30 years teaching people about health, nutrition, wellness, and caring for musculoskeletal injuries using traditional techniques. She has been using alternative medicine for herself for many years, so it was natural for her to seek alternative ways to deal with her grief. Out of her desire to help others on their grief journeys, she created Dragonfly Integrated Health. She uses a variety of techniques to empower clients in their healing journeys. She believes we each have the innate ability to heal ourselves and she wants to help you unleash your capabilities as you co-create your healing journey.
Additional Training & Awards: She has a doctorate in Kinesiology and a Masters in Human Movement Studies. She has been a licensed athletic trainer since 1990. She is the 2021 recipient of the Linda Harrel Rudisill Lifetime Achievement award for her work in higher education. She is a certified Usui/Holy Fire Reiki II Master, Angel Reiki Master, Pets & Animal Reiki Practitioner, Certified Angel Guide, and she is certified in Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid.
